Lunazur (“we,” “us,” or “our”) publishes this privacy policy for the Android apps we distribute on Google Play. Each app is described in its own section. The section for an app is the policy that applies to that app.
Website Widget (the “App”) is an Android app. The package name is net.lunazur.websitewidget. This section explains what stays on your device, what the App sends off the device, and the choices you have.
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
The App has no user accounts. It shows websites, public Google Sheets, and JSON feeds that you choose on your home screen.
The App keeps the following in its private storage on your phone so the widget can work offline. Lunazur does not receive it. It is not uploaded to a server we operate. In Google Play’s terms, data is collected only when it is transmitted off the device, so this on-device data is not collection by us.
The Play version does send the host of a saved URL (for example example.com) to Firebase Analytics. It does not send the full URL, the path, the query string, or the downloaded page. See section 1.2.
We do not ask you to create an account, and the App does not collect passwords or payment card numbers. The App has no in-app purchases.
The version of the App on Google Play includes Google Firebase. Firebase may collect device and usage data as described below. We have turned off collection of the Android advertising ID.
| Data | What it includes | Why |
|---|---|---|
| App activity | Screen names; extraction mode; the host of a URL you save (for example example.com, not the full path or query); a widget id created on your device; whether a fetch failed; search query length and result count (not the words you typed); similar product events such as pinning or deleting a widget. |
Understand which features are used and fix problems. Sent to Firebase Analytics (Google). |
| Diagnostics | Crash reports, stack traces, and performance measurements such as slow operations. These can include device model, operating system version, and app version. | Stability and performance. Sent to Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Performance Monitoring (Google). |
| Identifiers | A Firebase app-instance id, and a Firebase Cloud Messaging registration token for this installation. | Analytics and a background content refresh. Handled by Google. This is not the advertising ID. |
| Device and approximate region | Device model, operating system, language, and coarse location derived by Google from the IP address (such as country). We do not request GPS or precise location permission. | Compatibility and aggregated analytics, via Firebase. |
On startup, the Play version may also request topic and news lists from a content server configured for that build, store those lists on the device, and subscribe the installation to a Firebase Cloud Messaging topic named sync so that server can ask the App to refresh those lists. That sync does not upload your widget URLs or the pages you saved.
If you email hello@lunazur.net, we receive whatever you include in that message. The App itself does not ask for your name or email address.
You can grant or deny notification permission in Android settings. The other permissions below are normal app permissions and are not toggled one by one.
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
| Internet | Download the pages, sheets, JSON, and images you add, and contact Firebase and the content server. |
| Run at startup | Restore scheduled widget refreshes after the device reboots. |
| Exact alarms | Refresh a widget at the interval you chose. |
| Notifications | Optional. Used to show a news notification from the content sync. Widget content is shown on the home screen without a notification. |
The App does not request camera, photo library, microphone, contacts, location, Bluetooth, health, or calendar access.
When the App loads a URL you entered, that host receives a normal web request. The request includes your IP address and a browser-like user agent. If the URL is a Google Sheet, Google receives that request. We do not add your name, email, or an account token to those requests.
Those sites are independent of Lunazur. Their own privacy policies govern what they do with the request.
If you turn on Android backup, Google may back up the App’s local data, including saved URLs and fetched content, under your Google account settings. We do not operate that backup.
We do not use your information to show ads, to build an advertising profile, or to sell personal information.
The Play version of the App integrates these Google Firebase services:
| Service | Provider | Purpose | Data |
|---|---|---|---|
| Firebase Analytics | Usage analytics | App events listed in section 1.2, app-instance id, device and app information. Advertising ID collection is disabled. | |
| Firebase Crashlytics | Crash reports | Crash logs, device and app information. | |
| Firebase Performance Monitoring | Performance | Performance traces and related diagnostics. | |
| Firebase Cloud Messaging | Ask the App to refresh topic and news lists | Registration token and subscription to the sync topic. |
Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy. Firebase privacy information: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
The hosts of the URLs you add are also third parties, as described in section 1.4. We do not integrate an advertising SDK, a social-login SDK, or a payment SDK.
We do not show third-party advertisements in the App. We do not share your data with advertising networks to serve personalized ads. The App removes the advertising-ID permission and does not collect the Android advertising ID.
We do not sell your personal information.
We share information in these cases:
Widget URLs, settings, and fetched content are stored in the App’s private storage on your device. We do not upload that widget content to a Lunazur server.
Firebase data is stored by Google. Google may process it in the United States and in other countries where Google operates. We do not operate a separate analytics database.
Traffic to Firebase and to HTTPS addresses you enter is encrypted in transit with TLS. If you enter an http:// address, that particular request is not encrypted. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
| Data | How long |
|---|---|
| Widget URLs, settings, and fetched content on the device | Until you delete the widget, clear the App’s storage, or uninstall the App. A Google backup, if you enabled one, follows your Google account backup settings. |
| Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, and Performance data | For the period configured in our Firebase project, and otherwise for the period Google keeps that product’s data. Analytics user-level data is often about 2 months unless a longer period is set. Crashlytics data is typically kept for about 90 days. |
| Firebase Cloud Messaging token | Until the installation is unregistered, which normally happens when you uninstall the App or the token expires. |
| Email you send us | As long as we need it to handle your request, and longer if we must keep it for a legal reason. |
There is no account to delete. Uninstalling the App stops new collection from that installation and removes local App data from the device, aside from any backup you keep.
The App does not include an in-app switch to turn Firebase Analytics off.
If the GDPR or a similar law applies to you, you can ask to access, correct, or delete personal data, restrict or object to processing, and receive a portable copy where that right applies. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it. You can also complain to a supervisory authority.
We process data on these bases:
Contact hello@lunazur.net. We will respond within one month, or tell you if we need longer.
If you are a California resident, you can ask what personal information we collect, use, and disclose, ask us to delete or correct it, and opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Contact hello@lunazur.net. We will respond within 45 days.
The App is not directed at children under 13, or under 16 in the EEA. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under those ages. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, email hello@lunazur.net and we will delete what we can.
The Data safety section of our Play listing is meant to match this policy. In short, the Play version:
The App is not enrolled as a Google Play Families app.
Lunazur does not run the widget store. Fetched pages stay on your device. Firebase data is processed by Google, which may store it outside your country, including in the United States. Google describes its safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses where required, in its privacy policy.
We may update this policy. We will change the “Last updated” date at the top. For a material change, we will post the updated policy on this page before it applies. Please review this page from time to time. Continuing to use the App after the updated policy is posted means you accept the update.
